Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's sons was born in Woodland Hills, California in the year 1956. Her father was a schoolteacher and her mom was a stay-at-home mom. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her brothers older than her. McCormick was an accomplished singer and performer from a young age. Her passion was to perform shows using puppets to entertain her friends. When she was just 6, McCormick won her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called her and asked whether she was interested in a career in showbusiness. McCormick landed her first major task in 1964 when she starred in a TV commercial featuring Mattels newest doll Baby Pattaburp. The following year she appeared in another commercial with the company's Chatty Cathy doll and was shortly cast in the musical Wind It up and It breaks in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was among 1200 other children for the part of the eldest towheaded daughter in The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed newlyweds, who shared an unmarried family. This show lasted for five seasons. McCormick revealed her story in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick was close to losing her Virginity to Barry Williams during the five-year duration on the program. He was 19 years old. She was 16. The two of us could have been in a relationship, said she. However, the timing was not just right.
